From the Horse’s Mouth

My friend Jase and I have interesting conversations most of the time. He’s my go-to guy when I don’t want to second guess a guy. I just want to know from the horse’s mouth what a man thinks! So I have Jase. He’s always careful to put a rider on his response i.e. “these are just my thoughts”.

The interesting thing is that he should have asked me what my exact thought was at the exact moment that he made that comment because he would have shook his head in disbelief (again!). So what was I thinking? I was thinking okay, I’m hearing you say this as a representative of ALL man-only kind. Girls, you know we do this!

So, we were talking about how blokes flush out a mate that they suspect has a girlfriend but won’t come right out and admit they have. I was curious to the point of being on the edge of my seat on this one. But you know us girls, we stay cool, nonchalant. And for my part I put on this completely disinterested po face that I’ve developed with him and casually ask, “how?”

It’s simple he said. You open the glove box in his car, if he has a girlfriend you’ll find tampax in there. Or a shaver (not Bic disposable) in the shower recess or his shoes lined up neatly in a row and his washing sorted into whites and coloureds, the toilet seat down. It was that simple. Life’s masculine mysteries sorted over a cuppa. Amazing!
