Poems Prayers and Promises
It’s a munificent day outside. Reminds me of “poems, prayers and promises, things that we believe in” … believing, it’s so important isn’t it? It’s not even that we have to feel we believe in something or someone, it’s the deeper knowing. No really, it is. And why is that so important.
I don’t know about you but for me, it’s all about how that inner knowing steers us purposely through the life that we’ve been given to live. The one that stamps its impression in us as being ours and ours alone.
You know, I admit, I’m a control freak over my life. I like to know exactly where, what and when but I also acknowledge, wiser knowings than mine alone have led me along pathes I would have never willingly gone down (really and truly, I wouldn’t have gone down them for quids!). And thank goodness for that!
If I had known where some of the pathes I was going to walk along went, you can bet your bottom dollar I’d have high tailed myself to the furthest hills without so much as a second thought as to where or which direction! How about you?
Some pathes have scared me (read, led to growth which I probably felt like I could have done without!) and others have invigorated me. But for the most part I’ve never baulked at going down some path that I thought wasn’t worth taking a closer look at. I’m nosy like that.
That said, I can’t remember the last time I wanted to seriously believe in something utterly life-changing (God is a given). What about you?
