Best Thoughts Forward

I like the timelessness of thought, how being able to set down in just about any time, place and or dimension is entirely permissible because thought allows us to do that. It’s kind of cool isn’t it? It’s interesting too to consider just how people around us do that as well, particularly when you think of some of the world’s greatest thinkers.

Good thinking changes an atmosphere, an environment and an attitude. I’ve always wondered how it did that. For instance, where does an atmosphere, an environment or an attitude change, that is, become an altered state from what it was to begin with?

I mean, we’ve all been in the presence of or met people who have no positive or productive spin on life (no matter what) and I feel sure that like me, you’ve also felt like you got yourself slimed after you did. It feels like the worst thing! Gloomy people can darken even the sunniest disposition, well, to a certain extent.

Have you ever witnessed how perplexing that is to the one who has a sunny disposition, it’s like watching people, both of whom can’t speak each others’ language trying to communicate and failing to find a common phrase!

But back to my initial thought, what is it about good thinking that changes an atmosphere, environment or an attitude? What is it that we human beings unconsciously plug into that makes us change our mind about the way we perceive a thing from moment to moment?

Whatever it is, it’s powerful don’t you think? And there’s little doubt in my experience that however it is, thinking for good has as much (if not) more power than its gloomier opposite to push us out from more known shores into that altered state, fascinating isn’t it!
