Tea Strainer

People like me who drink strong tea, drink it because we like it that way plain and simple. When people who make us tea but don’t like it that way themselves, leave the teabag in, we can sort of understand why you do that …

VPL

VPL is short for Very Penneylane. They’re my take on everyday lessons from life. Lessons learnt and others where I missed the boat completely. Life’s long or short, depending on which end of the paddle you draw. Either way, being stuck up a creek without one makes for some interesting observations.

ABOUT that Lesson

But here’s the thing; it’s not the colour that makes a strong brew good, it’s the flavour. It has body. Finding a teabag at the bottom of our cup doesn’t stop us from drinking tea. We simply forgo drinking it at your place. Why? Because good tea doesn’t taste great with the teabag left in the bottom of the cup.

Good customer service is like that too. Serve us up inattentive service once and we forgive you. Do it twice and like that teabag, we forgo shopping in your store because the flavour’s wrong and it doesn’t taste so great.
