Adam Garone: Redefining Charity
To date, over a million moustaches have been grown for Movember, raising more than $178 million to change the face of Men’s Health. In 2004, Adam and the other Founders established Movember as a Not for Profit entity and chose Prostate Cancer as the cause, so that men were given an opportunity to support a serious disease that affected them. Fast-forward to 2011 and the moustache has emerged as the global symbol for Men’s Health, with official campaigns in ten countries.

ABOUT Adam Garrone
Adam Garrone has had a mixed-bag of employment starting out with service as an officer in the Australian Army, then with the Australian Special Forces where he learned and refined the art of leadership and intricacies of operations management.
What followed was a series of roles developing, managing and marketing emerging web and mobile technologies where he developed a passion for the smart application of technology to create highly profitable and innovative business models.
Then in 2003, his brother challenged him to grow a moustache for the first ever Movember. That moment changed his life, it inspired him and the other founders to establish Movember as a Men’s Health Campaign, a foundation and a global movement. He’s proud to say that at that moment it also changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of men acround the world too.”
