Ed Ulbrich is a digital-effects guru from Digital Domain. He explains the Oscar-winning technology that allowed his team to digitally create the older versions of Brad Pitt’s face for ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.

“Ed Ulbrich is both the Chief Creative Officer of Digital Domain and also the Founder and President of Mothership :Media. He oversees all aspects of the both company’s marketing businesses, commercial design and production, and creative strategies and direction.
He is also executive producing the feature film ‘Ender’s Game’ for the Company and executive produced the Academy Award-winning visual effects for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Titanic, What Dreams May Come, Tron Legacy, Fight Club, Zodiac, We Own the Night, and Adaptation.
He has also executive produced music videos for the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, Bjork, and other artists; make commercials for clients including Nike, Coca-Cola, BMW, Electronic Arts, and Microsoft. Prior to Digital Domain, Ed was a Commercial Producer at the Leo Burnett Company and an artist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois.”
