Andrew Jas­pan founded ‘The Con­ver­sa­tion’, a web-based Jour­nal­ism ven­ture that turns Australia’s Uni­ver­si­ties into a giant news­room, with the best and bright­est writ­ing in real-time on break­ing news and cur­rent debates.

ABOUT Andrew Jas­pan

andrew_jaspan_1“Andrew Jas­pan is The Founder and Edi­tor of The Conversation. He is the for­mer Editor-in-Chief of Melbourne’s The Age and The Sun­day Age (2004−2008).

He has an inter­na­tional per­spec­tive of media, hav­ing also edited The Observer in Lon­don, The Scots­man, Scot­land on Sun­day, and Sun­day Her­ald in the UK. He also worked at The Times and Sun­day Times.

Andrew’s the Asia-Pacific Direc­tor of Inno­va­tion Media Inter­na­tional, on the Board of the RMIT Global Cities Insti­tute, an observer in the Aus­tralian Davos con­fer­ence, a par­tic­i­pant in the 2020 Ideas Sum­mit.

He is a reg­u­lar con­trib­u­tor to the media, an Adjunct Pro­fes­sor in School of Media and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, RMIT, Melbourne; Senior Research Fel­low in the Fac­ulty of Engi­neer­ing and Infra­struc­ture, Uni­ver­sity of Melbourne.”
