Ever remember the first time you put a ding in your new or thoroughly-used car, and specifically, your over-the-top reaction to that? I do. I recall thinking something absurd like, “I’m going to die a thousand deaths” or that I’d faint, my car would roll backwards over me and in an act of vehicular retribution […]

How easy is it to stand on a soapbox and to rant and rave about this or that, or one thing or another? From time to time, I’ve wondered how easy it is to keep that up without feeling it’s all just falling on deaf ears. How do you quantify the effects of a rant […]

Nothing says rude to me more than a seemingly eloquent backhander from a so-called ‘professional’ who thinks they’re superior because they hold a degree in a field I don’t. It doesn’t matter to me personally how much tertiary education or higher learning a person has if they lack any sense of common decency or manners.

Anyone who knows me well, knows customer service is a deal breaker for me. It’s the difference between whether I’ll come back or not. Whether I’ll tell my friends it’s worth their while or not. There’s no rocket-science in GOOD customer service but there are consistent, courteous and calculable features of how that’s done well.
